Beside a county roads barn at the south edge of Breland Cross, what first presents itself from a remarkably wide pull-off is a fenced display of full-scale roadside gutter profiles in poured concrete, asphalt, and one short experimental section in brick. A small sign attributes maintenance to the Henshaw County Drainage Review Board, though the lettering appears to have been replaced at least twice. The site reportedly began as a training and demonstration area for ditch-to-curb transition standards sometime in the late 1980s, and now includes twelve labeled runoff examples, three benches, and a donation tube with no clear collecting authority. The unresolved question is why a mock-up park of this size needed decorative shrubs.
