Nineteen curved sidewalk segments, each poured to a slightly different radius and finish, remain in a grassy arc beside the former District 6 materials shed outside Norvold. A fading county sign attributes the site to the Upper Prairie Pedestrian Facilities Review Board, which appears to have used the crescent to compare early slip-form concrete equipment against hand-set forms sometime in the late 1980s. The hook detail is a row of small aluminum plaques, several still legible, with terse labels such as "broom drag after light mist" and "school-route edge, revised." The site is plainly maintained just enough to keep the weeds down, but the pull-off gate was chained on a recent weekday and no posted number answered.
