Rooker Field Standard Mailbox Array

Outside Rooker Field, the County Standard Mailbox Array stands on a grassy pull-off as a roadside display of 18 curbside mailboxes installed in a straight line by the Mid-Carraway Rural Addressing Advisory Board and still mowed around by county public works. Each box represents a different approved post height and setback condition once used in county guidance, which may explain why the interpretive sign uses the phrase "transitional compliance period" three separate times. The array appears to have been assembled in the late 1990s after a route-consolidation dispute involving snowplows, newspaper tubes, and one insurance claim. The site is reportedly open at all hours, though the adjacent gravel apron is signed for government vehicles on weekdays and the brochure box was empty at time of report.
